Rhythm Workshop for Aspiring Young Drummers Ages 7 to 11

The workshop will be run by Steve Timms and will give young people interested in playing Drums & Percussion the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at some basic rhythms and drum patterns in various contemporary music styles e.g. Rock & Pop,learn a little about these styles and the rudimentary formulas for each. Students will then all have the opportunity to play along with a band.

Even for the absolute beginner, this workshop is great fun and is designed to develop musical understanding and confidence.

A Rhythm Section Workshop for Drummers

This workshop will look at the fundamentals of Funk, Soul & Reggae. You will be working alongside a Bass & Rhythm Guitar to create a dynamic rhythm section in these various styles. With lots of great tips and tricks on how to achieve the right ‘sound’ and ‘feel’. This workshop is suitable for students with some playing experience. Minimum Age: 12 years.
